SRU : Joseph (My first ever TG story from all the way back in the 90s!)

 Just a note, my writing style has gotten better in the decades and I am only reposting these "classics" to archive them as many of my works have been lost over the years. These especially include my Pond Universe (which i'm looking for) and a lot of my stories that did NOT take place in other people's universe. This particular story is the original version, which is rarer now as my rewrite can be found more often, I decided to re-post the non rewrite (though I did fix some misspelled words, etc in it), as it is my first story posted here!

 Just a reminder, new stories never before seen will begin to be posted here regularly in March (at the latest)

SRU:Joseph

It was a raining cats & dogs literally outside the mall. The old man in charge of Spells R US was shaking his head. "I guess Jake's first wish was for it to rain hard, but that dumb genie must have thought he meant it literally." The old man walked into the back of the shop & started getting ready for Halloween. You see Halloween was only a few weeks away & it was his busiest time of year.

In a nearby neighborhood, Joseph Lasers was walking down the street. He was depressed due to the fact that just recently his mother had passed away. He was so depressed over this that he had been failing school & he really didn't care anymore. He also started to drive his friends away. He just didn't care anymore. Dave, his best friend, had said to him recently that if he didn't get at least some help soon that Joseph may become unstable. Joseph knew this was true & was about to kill himself til he decided for some odd reason that the mall would hold the key to bringing his life back together. Wih that he went to the mall.

Joseph walked through the whole entire mall until he saw a store in a whole of the wall area of the mall. He entered the small store. The tiny door charm rang & he looked around & saw no one. The smell of the store was of old books & he saw a few spider webs. Joseph's first thoughts were that the store was abandoned, but when he saw a old man wearing what he believed was a bathrobe he knew he was wrong.

"Hello Joseph, I was sorry to hear about the death of your mother a while back. But you really do need to learn to trust in your friends they will help you in times like these."

"I don't know how you knew my name old man, but I don't care what you think. You just don't understand. My life has gone downhill since my mom's death. My sister is taking it better than I am. At least she's not thinking about suicide! Sometimes I wish I were more like her. She is at least taking it better than me."

"Indeed. Well I can arrange that. You will be like your sister. All you have to do is take this pill when you get home & I guarantee that by the time you wake up in the morning you will be a new person." The old man said as he handed the pill to Joseph.

Joseph looked at him suspiciously. "Don't worry its not poison & before you ask how much, it is free." Joseph hesitantly took the pill & walked out of the store.

A few hours later, Joseph took the pill out & swallowed it. He then went to sleep. When he woke up, something was diff. Joseph sat up & looked into his mirror. He couldn't believe it he had red hair. He couldn't believe it he was a woman. Suddenly he didn't want to die anymore. He was still upset about his mothers death, but now he was able to understand why he needed his friends.

Meanwhile in the mall...the old man smiled, he really loved when he prevented suicide's. Her then went back to the back to get ready for Halloween.
